Boyce Middle School

After School Non-Competitive Robotics

For the 2023/2024 school year, the Boyce Middle School after school Robotics Club will be using Hummingbird Robotics Kits from BirdBrain Technologies.  The Hummingbird Robotics Kit is comprised of lights, sensors, and motors which allow students to build a robot out of any materials.

The power of Hummingbird is in its flexibility - the same reusable kit can animate a poem, model the human arm, build an autonomous rover, or create a pinball machine.

NEW FOR 2023/2024!

Boyce students who are looking for a more intense robotics experience can join a FIRST LEGO League Challenge team through USC Robotics.  These teams will meet for several hours a week in the evening/weekend for the first semester and are required to have a volunteer parent coach leading each team.  Please visit the the USC Robotics competitive robotics page related to FIRST LEGO League (FLL) for more information.  Cost is $150 per student.
